cPanel hosting guide

cPanel is a separate legacy-hosting product available from the dashboard. It is useful for workloads managed through a traditional hosting control panel and is not the same workflow as an Infralane PaaS application.

Create an account

Open cPanel

Select cPanel in the product navigation, then choose Create cPanel account.

Choose an account name

Enter a short name. Infralane normalizes it and adds a unique suffix to form the generated subdomain. The current form requires a short label so the final domain remains valid.

Set a strong password

Follow the on-screen password requirements: uppercase and lowercase letters, a number, and a special character. Confirm the password exactly.

Save the generated access details

After creation, return to the account list. Copy the username only when needed and store the password in a trusted password manager. Infralane does not show the existing password later.

Open cPanel

Use the account action to open the external cPanel sign-in page, then sign in with that account’s credentials.

The dashboard currently describes this as a free legacy-hosting service and enforces the account limit shown on the creation page. Limits and availability are controlled by the current product UI.

Change a cPanel password

From the cPanel accounts list, choose Change password for the intended account. Enter and confirm a new password that meets every requirement. The existing password cannot be recovered; the change applies to the next sign-in.

Security guidance

  • use a unique password for every cPanel account;
  • never reuse your Infralane account password;
  • store credentials in a password manager;
  • verify the generated domain before publishing it;
  • keep hosted applications and plugins updated through the tools appropriate to them;
  • do not send credentials to support.

Account limit errors

If the dashboard cannot check your account limit, retry before creating an account. If you have reached the displayed limit, manage an existing account from the accounts page rather than repeatedly submitting the form.
