Members and roles
The Members page lists workspace collaborators, their role, and invitation status. Roles are loaded from the platform, so use the descriptions and options shown by the dashboard rather than assuming a fixed permission set.
Invite a member
Open Members
Select the intended workspace, then open Workspace → Members.
Enter the email address
Use the person’s organizational or approved account address. Check spelling before sending.
Choose a role
Select the least-privileged role that allows the person to complete their work. If unsure, ask a workspace owner to confirm.
Send the invitation
Select Send invitation. The invitee receives an email with joining instructions. Their status remains Pending until they respond.
Invitation status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | The invitation has been sent but not accepted |
| Active | The member accepted and can use the workspace according to their role |
| Rejected | The invitation was declined or rejected |
Role guidance
The dashboard may offer roles such as owner, admin, member, or viewer. Exact permissions come from the platform and can evolve. In general:
- reserve owner and administrative access for people who manage the workspace;
- use normal member access for day-to-day contributors;
- use viewer-style access for read-only needs when offered;
- review privileged access regularly.
Frontend visibility is not the security boundary. Infralane checks authorization when an action is requested. If a member’s role changes, have them refresh their session before testing access.
Offboarding checklist
When someone leaves a team, review their workspace access, connected external accounts, owned credentials, and operational responsibilities. Rotate shared credentials they knew, even if the workspace membership is removed.
